The Guardian Minister of Ahilyanagar, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, has made a bold statement regarding the safety and security of devotees visiting the revered Shirdi Sai Baba temple. He asserts that every effort has been made to ensure a seamless pilgrimage experience, with a complete crackdown on the sale of beef and any forms of hooliganism in the entire Ahilyanagar region, including the temple premises. This announcement suggests a proactive approach towards maintaining peace and order within the sacred site, aiming to provide a tranquil environment for worshippers.

Exorbitant charges levied on devotees

Minister Vikhe Patil has announced that all slaughterhouses in the district have been closed and cattle slaughter is banned. He claims this is a response to reports of hooligans robbing devotees, hotels overcharging for rooms, and exploitation during darshan. These issues have been addressed, and devotees can now visit the temple without facing any exploitation or trouble.

The Minister has stated that outsiders are no longer allowed to enter the Mahaprasad area at the Shirdi Sai Baba temple. Previously, people involved in brick kiln work and known for hooliganism were entering the area, but this has been stopped by introducing a token system for devotees seeking darshan. This system effectively prevents outsiders from entering the Mahaprasad area.

He also announced that all unauthorized constructions on the Sai Baba temple premises have been demolished. He also revealed exciting plans for a large theme park based on Sai Baba’s teachings and life, to be developed within the Sai Baba institution. This theme park, which will depict Sai Baba’s life, is expected to open soon, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience.
