Video from inside cab shows crying child; driver detained, vehicle seized by Noida Police
Noida Police have detained a cab driver and seized his vehicle after a viral video showed a family, including a young child, in distress during a high-speed attempt to evade a traffic stop. The incident occurred near Parthala Bridge in Greater Noida West when a traffic officer signalled the vehicle to halt for inspection.

According to the passenger, who later shared footage of the ordeal on social media, the driver instead accelerated, driving recklessly toward Delhi. The cab, carrying a man, his wife, and their child en route to Connaught Place, allegedly collided with another vehicle during the chase. In the video, the family appears visibly shaken, with the child crying audibly in the background, as they plead with the driver to slow down.
The victim claimed the driver ignored repeated requests to stop or reduce speed. The clip’s circulation online has sparked widespread public outrage and renewed concerns about passenger safety in app-based and private cab services.

Responding to the incident, Uttar Pradesh Police stated that the cab driver was immediately taken into custody, the vehicle was impounded, and legal proceedings are underway.
