Sikandar Shaikh bags Maharashtra Kesari Title 2023

Pune: Sikandar Shaikh brought laurels after winning the ‘Maharashtra Kesari’ award this year. 

He won the tournament by defeating former Maharashtra Kesari Shivraj Rakshe in just 23 seconds. Reacting after this, he attributed his success to the people who worked for him.

As per further information, Shaikh said that this win is dedicated to his father, his cousins, and most importantly his coach Chandrakant Kale and Ishwar Hargude, Uttamada, Yogesh Bambale, Aslamada. He can’t thank them enough for the hard work they all put in so that he will win the award.

Sikandar Shaikh is originally from Mohol in Solapur. He took wrestling lessons at Ganga Ves Talim in Kolhapur. Coach Chandrakant Kale gave him wrestling lessons. In last year’s Maharashtra Kesari tournament, he had to miss out on an alleged wrong decision by the umpires. However, he won the award this year.
