Pune: Tragic Death of 11 year old while playing cricket in Lohegaon leaves family in shock
An 11 year old boy died shortly after getting hit by a ball while playing cricket with his peers in the sports academy of Jagadguru International School on Thursday.

In Pune’s Jagadguru International School’s sports academy on Thursday, events took an unanticipated tragic turn when an eleven year-old boy, lost his life after a cricket ball hit his private parts.
According to the airport police officials, he had come out to play cricket in the academy with other boys after the commencement of the summer vacations. While he was batting a ball his bat missed; the ball struck him very hard on his genitals. Due to the pain and impact he collapsed on the ground, leaving the kids in a state of shock and bafflement.
He was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him as dead. The police are awaiting post mortem reports to ascertain the specific cause of death. For now a case of accidental death has been registered at the airport police station. His post-mortem has been conducted at Sassoon hospital and the police said that the real cause of death will be known after the post-mortem report.
His sudden death has left the family in a state of mourning. He was the son of a political leader.
Cases like these are quite unheard of. While it is uncertain what caused his untimely demise, it is very rare to succumb to injuries that happen while playing cricket. This makes his death an anomaly on its own.
