1) Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors has announced that the Harrier EV will launch next year, generating significant excitement. Initially revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo and later at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, the Harrier EV will come with various configurations, including single and dual motor options, as well as front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Importantly, it will be Tata Motors’ first electric vehicle to feature a twin-motor all-wheel-drive setup.

It is expected to launch in FY 2025, with a price range of ₹25 to 30 lakhs. 2) Hyundai Creta EV

It is scheduled to launch in March 2025, with an expected price between ₹15 to 18 lakhs. Key features include advanced safety features and spacious interiors, making it a promising option for buyers.
5) Mahindra XEV 9e

Mahindra is set to launch its new electric SUV, the XEV 9e, which is based on the well-known XUV700, in early 2025. This model will come equipped with a triple-screen layout and innovative design elements tailored specifically for electric vehicles. The XEV 9e is anticipated to deliver excellent performance, a roomy interior, and cutting-edge features, making it a great option for buyers who are enthusiastic about technology.
The upcoming electric vehicle is expected to have a battery capacity ranging from 60 to 70 kWh, allowing for a driving range of 400 to 500 kilometers on a single charge. It is set to launch in early 2025, with an expected price between ₹24 to 28 lakhs. Notable features include a triple-screen layout and a strong emphasis on technology-focused functionalities.
6) Mahindra XUV 3 XO EV

Mahindra has recently launched two much-anticipated electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Additionally, the company is planning to introduce a brand-new electric SUV based on the XUV 3XO, which will compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV and Tata Punch EV. This electric SUV has already been spotted undergoing tests on Indian roads multiple times.
The XUV 3XO EV is expected to feature a 34.5 kWh battery pack, similar to what is found in the lower-spec variants of the XUV400 EV. However, details regarding the specifications of the electric motor and its range have not yet been disclosed, although it is claimed to offer a range of up to 456 km.
7) Mahindra XEV 7e

An all-electric version of the XUV700, the XEV 7e, is expected to be the next Electric Origin model from Mahindra, as a trademark for it has recently been filed. While specific technical details about the new Mahindra XEV 7e are not yet available, it is anticipated to share its powertrain with the recently launched XEV 9e. Mahindra is likely to offer battery options of 59 kWh and 79 kWh, paired with a single motor that powers the rear wheels.
There is also a possibility that Mahindra could introduce a dual-motor setup, which would provide an all-wheel-drive (AWD) version. Although there is no confirmed timeline for the launch of the XEV 7e, it is expected to be unveiled around the festive season next year.
8) Tata Sierra

The Harrier won’t be the only electric vehicle from Tata Motors next year. The company is set to revive the Sierra nameplate, offering both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric powertrain options. Unlike the older generation Sierra, the new version will feature a traditional 5-door setup.
The Sierra EV will be built on the same Acti.ev platform as the Curvv EV and Punch EV. While specific powertrain details for the Sierra EV are still not disclosed, more information is expected to be revealed at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo. The Sierra EV is likely to hit the roads around mid-2025 or during the festive season.
