SpiceJet Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing At Mumbai Airport After Wheel Detaches; All Passengers Safe
Mumbai, September 12, 2025: A SpiceJet flight made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Friday after one of its wheels reportedly detached mid-air. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
According to reports, the SpiceJet Q400 aircraft had taken off from Kandla for Mumbai when a technical fault was detected shortly after departure. During the flight, it was observed that the aircraft’s wheel had come off.
Despite the malfunction, the pilot managed to land the aircraft safely in Mumbai. All passengers were safely evacuated after landing.
In its official statement, SpiceJet confirmed the incident, stating that the aircraft took off from Kandla on September 12 and experienced a wheel issue during take-off. The airline assured that the aircraft landed safely in Mumbai and that all passengers are safe.
