State Tourism Festival with Helicopter Rides and Family Activities Coming to Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani in April
The Maharashtra government, in collaboration with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), has announced a major tourism festival to be held at Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani, two renowned hill stations in Satara district, this April. The three-day event aims to showcase the region’s breathtaking natural beauty and popular tourist attractions.
The MTDC is working with private enterprises to organize a variety of activities for the festival. Shambhuraj Desai, the Guardian Minister of Satara and State Tourism Minister, highlighted the strategic timing of the event, aligning it with the start of summer vacations. “The festival is being organized during the summer break to provide families and children an opportunity to enjoy the hill stations,” he said.
As part of the preparations, authorities are finalizing a host of attractions, including helicopter rides for visitors. Minister Desai added, “We have instructed all relevant departments to ensure the event is seamless, including consistent power supply, well-maintained roads, and adequate parking facilities to manage traffic effectively.”
Mahabaleshwar, known for its scenic beauty, hosts various annual events that draw large crowds. Among them, the Strawberry Festival, held every March-April, remains a key attraction, celebrating the region’s famed strawberry produce. This new tourism festival is expected to further enhance Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani’s reputation as a prime travel destination.
