Steel Company MD Shot In Broad Daylight At Chakan MIDC; Pimpri Chinchwad Launch Investigation Â
Pune:Â A shocking shooting incident unfolded in the Chakan MIDC area on Monday morning, leaving the local business community on edge. Ajay Singh, the owner of Kailas Steel in the Chakan Industrial Estate, was attacked by two unidentified men on a motorbike at the gate of his company. The assailants fired two bullets at Singh, hitting him in the stomach and back, before fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred around 11 AM under the jurisdiction of Mahalunge MIDC Police Station, part of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Singh was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.
Preliminary investigations suggest the attack may not be linked to extortion, as Singh has confirmed he did not receive any such demands. The police have deployed 10 to 12 teams, including the crime branch, to track down the perpetrators.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. Shivaji Pawar stated that a detailed investigation is underway to uncover the motive behind the attack. This incident comes just days after another firing incident in the Sinhgad College area, raising concerns about rising crime in Pune’s industrial hubs.
