On January 2, 2025, as part of the Maharashtra Police Foundation Day celebrations, various events were organized from January 2 to January 8, 2025, following directives from Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. One such event, a distribution ceremony for recovered stolen valuables, was held on January 6, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM at Mahatma Phule Cultural Hall, Shivarkar Road, Wanowrie, Pune. 

The event was attended by prominent officials, including Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner Ranjankumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police (Western Region) Pravin Kumar Patil, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, Additional Commissioner of Police (Eastern Region) Manoj Patil, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingale.

During the ceremony, valuables recovered in connection with cases registered across nine police stations in Zone 5 were returned to 94 complainants. The total value of the recovered items amounted to ₹1,80,57,329. The items included two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, mobile phones, gold and silver jewelry, and cash.

The distribution of these valuables was conducted following court directives and the provisions of the Indian Citizen Security Code, 2023, Section 106. The recovered items were handed over by Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and other senior officials, ensuring justice and relief for the victims.
