Supriya Sule Alleges Maharashtra Govt Plans to Ban Anil Deshmukh’s Book

Baramati MP and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Supriya Sule on Saturday claimed that the Maharashtra government is considering banning former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s Marathi book Diary of a Home Minister, which was released last year.
In a post on social media platform X, Sule said, “It is understood that the government is planning to ban Anil Deshmukh’s book, which contains several sensational revelations. If this happens, it will be a clear attempt to suppress the voice of expression.”
She added, “This government should remember that the voice of truth can never be permanently silenced. Ultimately, truth always prevails.”
The book delves into several high-profile controversies, including the alleged ₹100-crore bribe demand, the explosives-laden vehicle found outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia, and Deshmukh’s own arrest in a money laundering case.
