“Swar Parva” to feature young music performers

‘Swar Parva’, an initiative which is emerging as a platform for the promising next generation artists from the field of Indian Classical Music is all set to present its third program on Sunday, July 10th at 5:00pm at MES Auditorium, BSM School, Mayur Colony, Kothrud. Entry to this program is free.

Ninad Daithankar

Being organized by the Taalanubhuti Foundation and Pride Group on the occasion of Aashadhi Ekadashi and Guru Pornima, Swar Parva will feature Ninad Daithankar (Santoor), Saurabh Vartak (Flute) and Meher Parlikar (Vocal). Ninad belongs to the rich art tradition of Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma is a disciple of Pandit Dhananjay Daithankar. Saurabha Vartak, regarded as one of the most promising flute artists is a disciple of Flute Maestro Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia. Meher Paralikar is an ITC Sangeet Research Academy Scholar and is a student of veteran vocalist Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty.

These artists would be accompanied by Ishaan Ghosh (Tabla), son and disciple of Pandit Nayan Ghosh, Rohit Mujumdar (Tabla), Disciple of Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, Ameya Bichu (Harmonium) and Rohit Khavle (Pakhavaj).
