“The Cantonment Conspiracy” Unveiled: Gen. Naravane Inspires Pune Youth With Leadership Insights
Pune, August 19, 2025: Former Chief of Army Staff General M. M. Naravane (Retd.) launched his latest book “The Cantonment Conspiracy” at a special event hosted by RIIM Pune, attended by academicians, faculty members, and management students.
Addressing the gathering, Gen. Naravane underlined the importance of defence preparedness and national security, noting that both the farmer in the field and the soldier at the border play an equally vital role in the country’s growth.
He also highlighted the armed forces’ contribution to India’s economy and nation building.
Sharing leadership lessons with students, he stressed qualities such as discipline, decision-making, teamwork, and integrity—values he said are just as essential in corporate life as in the armed forces.
Over 500 copies of the book were distributed among management students. Organizers, including Prafful Sarda and RIIM Chairman Suraj Sharma, praised the book for combining storytelling with real-world lessons on leadership, ethics, and strategy.
