After the retirement of the old double decker bus service in Mumbai, now the black and yellow taxis are also going to disappear from the streets of Mumbai. From 30th October (Monday), the black and yellow taxis will not be seen on the roads of Mumbai. This taxi has been plying the streets of Mumbai for more than five decades.

As per further information, the last ‘Premier Padmini’ was registered as a black-and-yellow taxi at Tardeo RTO on October 29, 2003. This taxi type has been the pride of Mumbai as the taxi service was started in 1964. The manufacturing of this taxi has been stopped in the year 2001.

Due to the new models and online cab services, it has been decided to discontinue this black and yellow taxi. But new model black and yellow taxis will be seen running on the streets of Mumbai.
