Once working 15-hour days, the young entrepreneur now delights the internet with his quirky farm videos and dreams of a prosperous, ‘bindaas’ life.

Abhishek Reddy, popularly known as “Silly Sensei” on Instagram, made waves after he left a high-paying corporate role to pursue farming, prioritizing quality of life over corporate burnout. Originally from Andhra Pradesh, Reddy had carefully planned to work until 35, save up, and then retire early. But relentless 15-hour days at his branding job led him to re-evaluate, and at 22, he quit to follow his passion.

Reddy initially started his career by freelancing in design straight out of high school and later launched his own web design company. A client was so impressed that they offered him a Rs 1.5 crore annual role. However, the grind soon wore him down. Two years after leaving his high-profile job, Reddy now runs a farm in Obulapuram village with his mother, Neela, and sister, Aishwarya, bringing life to his “bindaas” dream of sustainable living. His humorous, informative farm videos have garnered over 1.2 lakh followers, inspiring others to consider a similar shift.

Despite transitioning into a new industry, Reddy is optimistic about the farm’s financial future, aiming to generate Rs 2 crore annually within a few years. With his sister, an IIT Kharagpur graduate, planning to join him, they’re hopeful about the farm’s future as both a family business and a way of life.
