Jacqueline, originally from Sri Lanka, bought a four-acre island off her home country’s southern coast in 2012, reportedly spending $600,000 (about ₹3 crore at the time). Though she had plans to build a luxurious villa on the island, she never confirmed whether it would be for personal use or developed for commercial purposes. Despite little being known about what she’s done with the land since, she still remains its proud owner — a rare feat among Indian film stars.
From Beauty Queen to Bollywood Mainstay
Before making her mark in Indian cinema, Jacqueline was crowned Miss Sri Lanka and started her career as a model. She debuted in Bollywood with Aladin in 2009, but her breakthrough role came with Murder 2 in 2011. Hits like Housefull 2 and Race 2 followed, establishing her as a popular commercial actress.
While she faced a few setbacks with underwhelming releases in recent years, Jacqueline was last seen in Fateh alongside Sonu Sood. She is set to return in 2025 with two big-budget films: Housefull 5 and Welcome to the Jungle, both featuring Akshay Kumar.
