Traffic Diversion On Pune-Solapur Road From December 6 Due To Pipeline Laying Work
Pune, December 6, 2024 – Traffic on the Pune-Solapur road will be diverted starting Friday, December 6, due to pipeline installation work near M.P. Petrol Pump between Mammadevi Chowk and Arjun Road T-junction. The work will commence at 8 PM, according to traffic police.
The project will be executed in two phases. In the first phase, excavation will be carried out on the Pune-to-Solapur road. The second phase will involve work on the Solapur-to-Pune route. During this period, traffic diversions have been implemented to manage the flow of vehicles.
Revised Traffic Routes:
- Vehicles from Solapur to Swargate: No changes; traffic will continue through Arjun Road and Mammadevi Chowk as usual.
- Vehicles from Swargate to Solapur: Prohibited from traveling straight at Mammadevi Chowk. These vehicles will take a left turn, proceed via Bishop Circle, and then turn right to rejoin Solapur Road. This route is designated as one-way.
- Vehicles from Solapur heading elsewhere: Will take Mammadevi Chowk and Golibar Chowk to reach their destinations.
- Vehicles on Dr. Coyaji Road: These will turn right at Harpreet Mandir Chowk, proceed via Khane Maruti Chowk and Pul Gate Bus Stand to reach Kondhwa.
- Restrictions for Solapur-bound vehicles at Mammadevi Chowk: They cannot turn right and must proceed straight via Golibar Chowk and turn right to access destinations via Lashkar Road.
Motorists are advised to follow the new routes to avoid inconvenience during the work period.
