Vasant More damages PMC vehicle over non-availability of ambulance for Covid19 patients

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s Pune Municipal Corporation Corporator Vasant More today, September 8, 2020 today broke Pune Municipal Corporation Ward officers vehicle over non – availability of ambulances for Covid19 patients in Pune city.
More expressed his anger over the delay and lethargic attitude of the PMC administration towards the treatment of Covid19 patients from Pune city.
Vasant More told Pune Pulse that the civic administration’s lackadaisical attitude has taken so many lives since the outbreak of Covid19 There is absolutely no co-ordination between two departments. The system set up by the PMC is unable to manage the patients. The patients who have succumbed to Covid19 have not been spared too. The families of such patients are kept on hold for availability of ambulances for hours without any information. He further said PMC should set up a system that takes care of the patients, provides facilities to them right from testing, admission in hospitals, smooth discharge and further recovery. But here the system is not in place from testing of such patients. There are no facilities at the crematoriums too. Dead bodies are piling up and ambulances are queuing up at these places. Beds are not being made available to the patients in covid care centers as well as in hospitals acquired by the administration.
More further stated that hospitals are charging exorbitantly to patients but are not being provided with equivalent facilities. Patients are feeling helpless even after spending huge sums. PMC needs tk rectify it’s system to curb further deaths and work towards betterment of citizens.
