Velvet Kavisha Launches ‘Kathanagari’ in Pune, Showcasing 35 Writers and Celebrating the Legacy of Reading and Writing
Pune – On August 3, Velvet Kavisha Publications launched its latest story collection Kathanagari at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Bhavan on Sunday. The book features works by 35 writers whose dream of being published was realized through the efforts of Varsha Thukarul.
The event was presided over by Dr. Avinash Bhondve, with Dr. Sunita Chaudhary, Advocate Shweta Gandhi, Milind Mohorir, Krishna Keshav Deshmukh, and Dr. Surekha Shinde as chief guests.
Kathanagari is part of Velvet Kavisha’s ongoing campaign to pass the legacy of reading and writing to future generations. The initiative has previously featured events like Lekhan Dindi and Lekhan Yatra. In October, the Nashik division will host a Lekhanwari event.
The launch included a Kathanagari Palkhi ceremony, felicitation of dignitaries, and interactive sessions with the contributing writers. The program concluded with a commitment from Velvet Kavisha Publications to provide technical support to writers for publishing their own books.
The event was organized by team members Sindhu Bagve, Jaya Patil, Smita Milind, Swati Kumbhar, Renuka Deshpande, Advocate Mithali Savlekar, Chandrakant Bhote, Suman Awhad, Rashmi Tanksalkar, Ketki Pandey, Mrunal Bhoite, and Pawan Deshmukh. The program was hosted by Purna Bhosale.
