In a light-hearted yet pointed video, a sales employee humorously criticizes the pressure of unrealistic work targets amid torrential rains.

A video of a young Indian employee braving heavy rainfall to get to work has struck a chord with thousands online, highlighting the increasing frustrations of workers caught in demanding office cultures, especially during extreme weather.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the man riding his bike in the pouring rain without any visible rain gear. As he soaks, he delivers a satirical monologue exposing the harsh realities of working in a toxic environment where performance is expected, come rain or storm.

“I am going to work. I work in sales. The target has to be met. So I am going for sales,” the young man says with biting sarcasm. “I am waterproof, friends, am I a waterproof person? I cannot get wet. The target must be met. We will sell so much that the company will go up, and we will go down. It will be really fun! The company must have sales.”

His commentary not only amused viewers but also struck a nerve. Many people, especially those in corporate jobs, resonated deeply with his tone and the stress of unrealistic expectations. The video also comes at a time when several parts of India are grappling with heavy monsoon rains, flooding roads and causing significant commuting issues.

Despite these challenges, many companies still insist on physical attendance, denying employees the option of working from home. This video has become a humorous but sharp critique of such rigid systems.

Social media users reacted quickly. One commented, “Sell the company, bro,” while another wrote, “There are toxic work scum everywhere.”

A user added, “Only people who are facing this can understand the feelings of this young man,” showing that the video had touched many who feel similarly trapped in demanding work setups. Another user wryly advised, “Take a raincoat bro,” while someone joked, “Did you meet the target?”

While the video is humorous on the surface, it captures a deeper frustration with workplace expectations and the neglect of employee well-being during harsh conditions—an issue that continues to prompt conversations across industries.
