VIDEO: ‘Miracle Water’ from Tree Stuns Pune People, But Civic Body Finds It’s a Leaking Pipeline
Pune | June 8, 2025: In a bizarre turn of events that had locals both amazed and amused, residents of Premlok Park in Pimpri Chinchwad gathered in large numbers on Friday night to witness what they believed was a miracle — water streaming from the trunk of a tree.
Videos of the spectacle quickly went viral on social media, showing people garlanding the tree, applying turmeric, and collecting the water in bottles, claiming it had healing properties. Many believed the tree was crying or releasing ‘amritdhara’, triggering a mini spiritual gathering in the area.
However, the divine moment was short-lived.
Some skeptical citizens notified the fire brigade, prompting an investigation by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Water Supply Department. The reality turned out to be far more earthly — an old underground water pipeline had burst, and the water found its way out through the base of a tree growing above it.
Officials confirmed that the tree was not the source of any miracle, but simply a natural outlet for the leaking water.
The incident has become a social media sensation, sparking laughter, debates, and memes online. While some residents are still clinging to the “miracle” theory, civic officials have begun repairing the pipeline to prevent further divine confusion.
