Young Man and girl injure themselves during late-night chaos; FIR registered
Kota district witnessed a dramatic late-night incident on Saturday when a young man, allegedly drunk, climbed onto a police jeep along with a minor girl and created chaos in the Rampura Kotwali area’s Sabzi Mandi Road.
According to officials, police were patrolling near Sarovar Talkies when they noticed the duo behaving suspiciously. On seeing the police, the man and woman tried to flee but were caught after a chase. The police placed them in a jeep to take them to the station, but events quickly took a dramatic turn.
On the way, the 22-year-old man suddenly climbed onto the police vehicle, refusing to get down despite repeated warnings. Soon after, the girl also joined him on top of the jeep, and the two created a major scene. Eyewitnesses said the man held a sharp object and began injuring both himself and the woman, causing them to bleed.

Police eventually managed to overpower the pair and took them to Rampura Kotwali station. Investigations revealed that the youth, a resident of Nanta police station area, had allegedly eloped with the minor girl. Her family had already lodged a missing person’s report at Nanta station.
Station House Officer Mahesh Karwal confirmed that the man has been booked on multiple charges, including creating public disorder, using abusive language, and eloping with the minor. The matter has also been referred to Nanta police for further action.
