Mumbai: A dramatic video capturing a life-threatening incident has gone viral on social media, showing a man and woman narrowly escaping a massive fire triggered by an LPG gas leak inside a house. Despite being dangerously close to the source of the blast, both individuals escaped without injuries.

The CCTV footage, believed to be from Wednesday, June 18, around 3 PM, shows the incident unfolding in a residential setting, although the exact location remains unknown. The video begins with a middle-aged woman trying to control a significant gas leak from a red LPG cylinder lying on the floor. Unable to stop the leak, she rushes out for help.

Moments later, the woman returns with a man to assist her. They enter the room from different doors and attempt to close the valve on the leaking cylinder. The room, already saturated with gas, suddenly erupts in a massive explosion, filling the kitchen with flames.

Fortunately, the woman had kept the doors and windows open during the leak, which helped release much of the accumulated gas and significantly reduced the impact of the blast. This critical decision is being credited with preventing a major tragedy.

The fire is seen igniting from the stove area and quickly spreading across the room. Despite the intense flames, both individuals manage to run out just in time, escaping completely unscathed.

The video has since gone viral, with many praising the woman’s presence of mind and quick thinking, which likely saved both their lives. Social media users have highlighted the importance of proper ventilation in such emergencies, with one caption reading, “They were lucky that all the doors and windows were open, which allowed the gas to escape and reduced the explosion’s force.”

Thanks to timely action and a bit of luck, a potentially deadly disaster was averted, and no casualties were reported.
