Viral Video: MNS Stages Protest Over Delayed Opening of Sinhagad Road Flyover in Pune

Pune, August 25, 2025 – The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) staged a strong protest on Monday demanding the immediate opening of the newly constructed Sinhagad Road flyover.

Despite being fully completed, the flyover remains closed, causing growing frustration among residents struggling with daily traffic congestion.

A video of the agitation has gone viral on social media, showing MNS workers raising slogans against the delay while police intervened and detained several protesters. According to party representatives, the ruling authorities are allegedly delaying the opening to wait for an auspicious ‘muhurat’ instead of prioritizing public convenience.

Residents believe that the flyover, which connects the Vitthalwadi and Manikbaug areas, is critical to easing long-standing traffic snarls along Sinhagad Road. The MNS has urged the civic administration to open the bridge immediately to provide relief to thousands of daily commuters.
