A video from Bihar is going viral on social media, showing a woman sitting comfortably in an air-conditioned train coach without a valid ticket. The incident has sparked a heated debate online about accountability and behavior among public servants.

In the video, a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) can be seen politely but firmly asking a woman to show her ticket for the AC coach. The woman, instead of cooperating, keeps saying, “You’re troubling me.” The TTE calmly responds, “Teacher hai Bihar sarkar mein, chalti hai bina ticket ke,” which means, “You’re a government employee in the Bihar government, you are a teacher, yet you haven’t bought a ticket.”

As the conversation continues, the woman appears to be calling someone on her phone, possibly for help, while the TTE continues to ask her to produce the ticket or vacate the seat.

The woman accuses the TTE of harassment, saying, “Aap mujhe pareshan karne ke uddeshya se aisa kar rahe hain (You are doing this with the intention of troubling me.)” At one point, when the TTE records the situation for evidence, she becomes angry and tries to snatch his phone, saying, “Aap aise recording kisi mahila ka nahi kar sakte. (You cannot record a woman like this.)”

Despite her attempts to argue, the TTE remains composed and continues to request that she either show her ticket or leave the coach.

How Did It End?

After a long back-and-forth, the woman finally leaves the AC coach. While walking out, she mutters “faltu,” which means “useless.” The TTE, who had been calm and respectful throughout, replies, “Faltu hum nahi, faltu aap hain. (The useless one is not me, it’s you.)”

Though her behavior drew criticism, viewers praised the TTE for performing his duty patiently and respectfully, even when faced with arrogance. The video quickly went viral, with thousands of people reacting to it.

One user commented, “Traveling without a ticket, and that too in an AC compartment, is seen as a matter of pride in Bihar. Those with reserved tickets feel humiliated as these people start abusing and fighting with them.”

Another user said, “If she is really a teacher, then terminate her. She’s traveling without a ticket and showing attitude.” A third person joked about the situation, saying, “BPSC TRE is the world’s toughest exam. Those who qualify should be given a Nobel Prize and a charter plane so that they can attend their schools.”

The incident has once again raised questions about misuse of power and a lack of responsibility among some government employees.
