Pune, November 22: The counting process for the Assembly elections will take place on November 23, with arrangements for 506 tables across 21 Assembly constituencies in Pune. This includes 391 tables for EVM vote counting87 for postal ballots, and 28 for ETPBS (Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System), informed District Collector and Election Officer Dr. Suhas Divase.

The Purandar Assembly constituency will witness the highest number of 30 rounds, while Baramati constituency will have the maximum 30 tables for counting.

Constituency-Wise Counting Arrangements

Details of table allocations and counting rounds for major constituencies are as follows:

Balwadkar
  • Junnar and Ambegaon: 18 EVM tables, 6 postal ballot tables, and 1-2 ETPBS tables for 20 rounds.
  • Khed Alandi: 20 EVM tables, 4 postal, 2 ETPBS for 20 rounds.
  • Shirur: 24 EVM, 4 postal, 2 ETPBS tables for 24 rounds.
  • Daund: 14 EVM, 5 postal, 1 ETPBS table for 23 rounds.
  • Indapur: 14 EVM, 6 postal, 1 ETPBS table for 24 rounds.

Purandar will have 14 EVM, 6 postal, 2 ETPBS tables for 30 rounds, while Maval will feature 14 EVM, 2 postal, and 1 ETPBS tables for 29 rounds.

Urban constituencies like PimpriChinchwad, and Bhosari have similar setups, with 20-24 EVM tables and multiple postal and ETPBS tables handling 20-24 rounds each. Kasba PethShivajinagar, and Kothrud will operate with 14-20 EVM tables, running 20 rounds of counting.

Restrictions and Procedures

  • Candidate representatives must wear valid ID cards throughout the counting process.
  • No unauthorized individuals or electronic devices such as mobiles, pagers, calculators, or smartwatches are allowed inside the counting hall.
  • Round-wise results will be announced via loudspeakers at each counting center.

Dr. Divase assured that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth and transparent vote counting process.
