Pune News: The festive spirit of Janmashtami came alive in Wanwadi as the Bhagwa Group successfully broke the grand Dahi Handi organized by Congress leader Adv. Sahil Shivaji Kedari Mitra Parivar. The event, held at Kedarinagar Samvidhan Chowk, witnessed massive participation of citizens, especially eager to catch a glimpse of Marathi actress Sonalee Kulkarni.
The Bhagwa Group from Somwar Peth formed an impressive six-tier human pyramid to break the handi. For their remarkable feat, the team was felicitated with a cash prize of ₹5,55,555 and a memento.
The celebrations began with the traditional Maha Ganga Aarti, followed by a vibrant cultural program. Actress and dancer Tejal Shinde entertained the crowd with her Lavani performance, while Sonalee Kulkarni, popular from Apsara Aali fame, captivated the audience with her presence.
