Wanwadi Traffic Police Get New Chairs and Tables to Boost On-Duty Comfort; Local Leaders Show Support
Pune, August 1, 2025 — In a meaningful effort to improve working conditions for traffic police officers, chairs and tables were distributed today to the dedicated personnel of the Wanwadi Traffic Department. This initiative aims to provide much-needed support to the traffic police, who work tirelessly to maintain order and discipline on Pune’s busy roads.
Traffic police personnel endure long hours of demanding work to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and public safety. This step, though small, is a significant move toward enhancing their comfort and efficiency during duty hours.

“This initiative reflects our true social responsibility — to ensure that every police officer who serves the community round the clock receives appropriate facilities and support,” said organizers at the event.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Wanwadi Traffic Police Inspector Dilip Phulpagare, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee OBC Vice President Adv. Sahil Shivajirao Kedari, Pune City OBC President Pradeep Pardeshi, along with local leaders Santosh Supekar, Amrit Kedari, Chetan Padwal, Devidas Lonkar, and others.
This community-backed initiative highlights the importance of providing frontline officers with the resources they need to serve Pune effectively and safely.
