The excitement surrounding the Punjabi singer is at its peak, prompting a prankster to dress up as Diljit and roam the streets of Pune, delighting fans who mistook him for the actual star.

Fitness trainer and content creator Simarjeet Singh pulled a prank in Pune by impersonating Diljit Dosanjh. Sporting sunglasses and a bandana over his mouth, Singh strolled through the streets, attracting attention from everyone around. To enhance the illusion, he even hired bouncers to act as his security.

In the Instagram video he posted, Singh was dressed in a jacket, sneakers, and a red turban. His red bandana and sunglasses covered most of his face, leading people in Pune to mistakenly think he was Diljit Dosanjh.

The content creator received numerous requests for photos, which he gladly accepted. While pretending to be the Punjabi singer, he shook hands with shoppers and took plenty of selfies with fans.

The video of the prank has gone crazy on Instagram, racking up 4.3 million views and tons of funny comments. 

“I feel bad for those who took pics with him,” one user said. Another person dubbed him “Diljit from Meesho.” It’s hilarious how people reacted to the prank!
