In one alarming incident, a white Mahindra Thar lost control on the snow-covered stretch and began sliding backward. Sensing the imminent danger, the driver leaped out of the moving vehicle, narrowly avoiding being crushed under its wheels.

Another viral video, amassing over 24 million views, showcased cars skidding dangerously on the icy roads of Manali. One heart-stopping moment captured a vehicle teetering dangerously close to a steep gorge, avoiding a catastrophic fall by mere inches.
Fatal Incident in Lahaul-Spiti
The treacherous conditions have already turned deadly. On December 10, a 49-year-old tourist from New Delhi, Bhishan Garg, lost his life in the Lahaul-Spiti district after his car skidded while overtaking and collided with a parked tipper truck. The accident left three other passengers injured, further underscoring the risks of driving in such harsh weather.
