Maharashtra Weather Update: IMD Issues Yellow and Orange Alerts for 28 Districts on August 29
Maharashtra is set to experience another spell of heavy rainfall on 24 August, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for seven districts.
These include Raigad, Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded, where thunderstorms accompanied by heavy showers are expected.
Regional Weather Forecast
- Mumbai: The city and suburbs are likely to witness cloudy skies with moderate rainfall. The maximum temperature may reach 29°C, while the minimum will hover around 26°C.
- Pune: Cloudy conditions with moderate rain are forecast, along with a yellow alert for the day. Temperatures will range between 28°C (max) and 23°C (min).
- Raigad, Satara & Kolhapur: These regions are also under a yellow alert with chances of thunderstorms and heavy showers.
- North Maharashtra: Nashik will have a cloudy sky with temperatures ranging between 29°C and 21°C. No rain alert has been issued for this region.
- Marathwada: Apart from Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded (under yellow alert), other districts will experience generally cloudy weather.
- Vidarbha: Nagpur may see light showers with maximum temperature rising to 33°C. No weather warning has been issued for other Vidarbha districts.
Residents in the alert zones are advised to stay updated with IMD advisories and take necessary precautions against heavy rainfall and possible thunderstorms.
