Weather Alert: Sudden Change in Maharashtra’s Climate, Mumbai and 11 Districts See New Forecast Update On September 10
Maharashtra is witnessing noticeable changes in its weather conditions following the Ganesh Visarjan festivities. While the state saw reduced rainfall in recent days, rising humidity and temperatures are being reported across regions. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), no heavy rainfall alerts have been issued for September 10, but light to moderate showers are expected in certain districts.
In Marathwada, districts including Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, and Latur may experience scattered rainfall with thunder in some areas. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is also likely to see cloudy skies with moderate rain. The maximum temperature in these regions may hover around 31°C, while the minimum could be near 22°C.
Mumbai and the Konkan belt are likely to remain cloudy with chances of moderate showers. In Mumbai, maximum temperatures are expected to rise to 32°C, with a minimum of 24°C. Similar conditions are forecasted for surrounding Konkan districts.
In Western Maharashtra, including Pune, cloudy skies with light showers are expected. Pune will record a maximum of 30°C and a minimum of 19°C. Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara may witness isolated light rains, though heavy downpours are not anticipated.
North Maharashtra, which recently experienced heavy rainfall, will now see a break. Nashik may receive moderate showers under cloudy skies, with temperatures ranging between 18°C and 27°C. Districts such as Ahmednagar, Dhule, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon will likely have overcast conditions.
In Vidarbha, temperatures are rising significantly. Nagpur is expected to record a maximum of 33°C and a minimum of 24°C, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall. The IMD has clarified that there are no heavy rainfall warnings for the next two days. However, from September 11 onwards, rain activity is likely to pick up again in Vidarbha, gradually spreading to South Maharashtra, Konkan, and Southern Marathwada.
