Due to the active monsoon, Pune district experienced rainfall throughout Saturday, with continuous rain ongoing in the Ghat regions. The forecast indicates rain across the district on Sunday (14th), with heavy rain predicted specifically in the Ghats.
Anupam Kashyap warns of poor visibility and slippery roads, with water stagnation in low-lying areas likely. There is a potential for minor landslides and falling roadside trees. Disaster management teams will face challenging conditions. While common people may experience some inconveniences, farmers will benefit from the rain as it will raise dam water levels.

This peak monsoon condition is expected to last for at least 72 hours. It is also recommended to avoid visiting the Ghats in Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, and Konkan during this period.

The western part of the district, especially the Ghats, experienced continuous rain. Lonavla recorded the highest rainfall at 68 mm until 5:30 PM on Saturday.

Cyclonic wind conditions prevail over North Gujarat and surrounding areas at an altitude of 3.1 to 5.8 km above sea level. A low-pressure belt continues parallel to the north Kerala coast from Maharashtra.
A cyclonic system is present in the Bay of Bengal at a height of 5.8 km along the coast of Andhra Pradesh. Given these weather conditions, rain is expected to continue into the next week.
