Pune experienced its coldest morning of the season on Tuesday, with the temperature dropping to 10.8°C, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). This marked a significant dip from the previous low of 12.1°C recorded on Monday.

The IMD attributed the temperature drop to the influence of northerly and northwesterly winds, combined with clear skies that allow the ground to cool rapidly at night.

In addition to the Shivajinagar weather station recording 10.8°C, other locations in the district reported even lower temperatures. The National Defence Academy (NDA) station logged 9.6°C, while Haveli recorded 9.5°C. However, areas like Hadapsar, Magarpatta, and Chinchwad recorded relatively higher temperatures ranging from 11°C to 14°C.

The IMD noted that the current temperature pattern is expected to persist for the next few days. Although daytime temperatures remain warmer, the rapid cooling during the night is creating a pronounced chill in the air.
