Western Railways Launches 'My Ticket, My Honour' Video Competition to Curb Ticketless Travel
Railways have to bear huge losses due to free, ticketless passengers. As punitive action is being taken to stop these free passengers, Western Railways has now announced the ‘My Ticket, My Honour’ competition. The competition aims to make short videos on the importance of valid travel and go viral on social media. First three videos with most likes will be selected by Western Railways.
As per further information from the X handle of Western Railways “Make short videos/reels on buying tickets and say no to ticketless travel. Selected videos will be featured on WR’s’ social media handles. Winners of top-liked video will be awarded with certificate of appreciation & prize money.”
The contest ‘My Ticket, My Honour will be conducted from 25 December to 25 January 2024. Contestants participating in the competition have to make short videos about their local travel and tag Western Railways on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter @drmbct.
Videos will be checked based on predefined selection criteria. After the checking of a video, it will be uploaded on the official social media accounts of Western Railways like YouTube, Instagram, Koo, Facebook and X as a part of competition for further trending/fan following. Three of these videos will be selected as the winners of the competition based on the maximum number of likes received across all social media platforms.
The winners will be announced on Republic Day on January 26, 2024 and they will be awarded certificates and cash prizes along with prizes.
