Woman Shares Shocking Incident of Harassment by a 7-Year-Old, Video Sparks Heated Reactions Online
A young woman recently took to Instagram to share a disturbing experience she had while walking in her residential complex. In a video that has now gone viral, she explained how a boy — believed to be around 7 years old — made inappropriate remarks directed at her, leaving her shocked and unsettled.
She described wearing a long skirt and a red top that day — a modest outfit she had also worn to visit a temple earlier. Later, while taking her regular evening walk within her gated, upscale apartment complex, she encountered a group of young boys playing nearby. One of them suddenly said to her, “Hey red angel, where are you going?” followed by laughter from the rest of the children. At first, she thought it might just be childish mischief and brushed it off as a joke.
However, when she crossed the same spot again during her next round, the same boy looked at her and said, “Who are you? Wanna go out?” — a line she described as deeply inappropriate, especially coming from a child. She expressed disbelief, pointing out that this was a child from a seemingly well-raised background, living in a posh society and attending a good school. “How could a kid from such a home speak like this?” she asked in the video.
She confronted the boy and reminded him of the values one is expected to learn from home and school. The society’s security guard later intervened and asked the boy to apologize. The boy, visibly embarrassed, held his ears and said sorry before running off. The guard tried to play down the situation, insisting the boy’s parents were “good people.”
While the woman admitted she initially thought she might be overreacting, she ultimately felt the incident highlighted a more serious issue. “It was a shocking experience. If you think I’m overreacting, tell me. But I truly was stunned,” she said.
The video has ignited intense discussions across social media. Many users voiced support for the woman and emphasized that such behavior shouldn’t be ignored — regardless of the child’s age.
The first user expressed that the woman did nothing wrong and should have gone directly to the boy’s parents or at least called them to explain what had happened. Another recommended she ask the security guard where the boy lived and personally visit his home to inform his parents.
A female commenter shared a similar incident from her own life, recounting how a young boy once inappropriately touched her while she was walking near a medical center. When she turned around, she found it was a child, around 8 or 9 years old, and confronted his mother immediately. “I told her what her son had done — we need to speak up,” she said.
Another user argued that this kind of behavior has sadly become too common and advised the woman not to stay quiet. “Raise your voice — silence only encourages it further,” the commenter urged.
Some even questioned the woman’s restraint, asking why she didn’t scold the child more harshly or slap him. However, many pointed out that children imitate what they see and hear in their environment — from adults, media, or peers — and said the blame lies with those influences. One user concluded, “He must’ve picked it up from somewhere. Talk to his parents — they need to know.”
The video has sparked a much-needed conversation about early behavioral patterns, parenting, and the importance of addressing problematic conduct, even when it comes from the very young.
