This unique event was organised in collaboration with Western Railway and the wellness platform Heal Station, blending movement, mindfulness, and Mumbai’s fast-paced rhythm into one seamless experience.
Inside the cool, bustling coaches of the Mumbai AC local, over 10 professional yoga instructors joined Sangram Singh in guiding passengers through simple, accessible yoga postures and breathing techniques. Designed to be practiced even in tight commuter spaces, these exercises were aimed at easing the stress of daily travel and promoting long-term well-being.
“Yoga gave me the strength to rebuild my life,” Sangram Singh shared during the ride. “I believe it has the power to transform every individual physically, mentally, and spiritually.”

Far from being just spectators, the commuters themselves became participants joining in the stretches, engaging with instructors, and embracing a rare moment of calm in the midst of their morning rush.
The initiative drew an enthusiastic and heartening response, according to a statement from Heal Station, which is leading the larger 100-day Train Yoga campaign. They described this AC local session as a “milestone in making wellness accessible in public spaces.”
The broader idea behind this initiative is simple but powerful: wellness doesn’t need to be confined to gyms or studios. Even a moving train can become a platform for inner transformation. With Mumbai’s locals being the city’s lifeline, integrating yoga into daily commutes holds the promise of impacting thousands of lives without asking people to carve out additional time in their busy schedules.
With more sessions lined up, the Travel Yoga campaign is not just promoting fitness, it’s redefining public health and accessibility in the most creative way. Sangram Singh and Heal Station have not only sparked a conversation, but also started a movement one train at a time.
