The assault, which reportedly stemmed from a minor verbal dispute, left one person seriously injured. Following the attack, the assailants took to social media to spread terror by posting videos of the assault on Instagram and WhatsApp, further escalating public fear.
The attack took place at a bustling location in Bhar Chowk, where the victim was confronted by the gang. Armed with a coyote, the assailants inflicted severe injuries on the young man before fleeing the scene. The attackers’ attempt to terrorize the public was evident in the video they posted, which featured the caption “Kasai then dhappa” and has since gone viral.
The Koyta Gang, known for its aggressive tactics, appears to be intensifying its activities in Pune. Despite ongoing police efforts, these gangs continue to carry out brazen attacks in broad daylight.
