‘Youth Connect’ – A platform to express your creativity
Youth Connect – An initiative to provide a platform to the citizens of Pune had recently held a programme where the citizens were educated about the importance of self care. A creative wall art was painted where the artists painted ‘I am Responsible’ and also created a selfie point.
The programme saw the presence of Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha Vandana Chavan who stressed on self care during the Covid19 pandemic. The main aim of the programme was to sensitise people on taking precautions to keep Covid19 at bay and also to honor the selfless and consistent work carried out by the Covid19 Warrior. Youth Connect is an initiative designed by Vandana Chavan to involve youth in giving platform to various needy and creative people. The programme was held at Indradhanushya Hall, Mhatre bridge. This wall art and selfie point is created at Dattawadi. The picture symbolises a women who educates on how to improve immunity. She spreads awareness on using mask, keeping hands clean and hygienic, importance of social distancing, complete diet, etc. This painting has been drawn by Falguni Gokhale and painted by artist Sanjeev Pawar and Digvijay Kumbhar.
The programme was organised by Rahul Pote, president, Youth Connect and saw attendance of many dignitaries and group members such as Rakesh Kamthe, Santosh Nangare, Vinayak Hanamghar, Sushant Dhamdhere, Anand Bafna, Abhijit Baravkar, Priyanka Shah, Ganesh Nalawade, Krishna Mehta, Ganesh Mohite, Sameer Pawar, Viki Waghe, Sweekar Deshpande, Sachin Benkar, Fahim Shaikh, Shraddha Jadhav, Sushma Satpute, Sonali Gade, Meena Bhosale, Vipul Mhaiskar, Om Kasar, Amol Potdar, Yayati Charwad, Vishal More, Pawanraj Bambulge, Gajanan Londhe, Hrushikesh Bhujbal, Mohsin Kazi, Abhijit Bhise, Mangesh Jadhav and many others.
Vandana Chavan addressing the members present for the function said, “Youth Connect is a wonderful initiative for youth to connect and hone their skills. The wall art will spread a positive message among the youth to give importance on self care. This wall art will be recreated at eight different locations in Pune.”
The program was hosted by Ashwini Pereira and thanks was proposed by Geetanjali Sarage.
