New Delhi, September 16, 2025: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa in connection with its probe into the illegal betting app case linked to 1xBet.

According to sources, the players have been asked to record their statements under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Uthappa has been directed to appear before the ED headquarters in Delhi on September 22, while Yuvraj Singh will face questioning on September 23.

This comes after the agency recently summoned and questioned former cricketers Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan in the same case. Notably, Yuvraj Singh had already appeared once before the ED in June this year.

The case revolves around illegal betting applications, including 1xBet, that allegedly duped investors of crores of rupees while evading taxes on a large scale. The platform, which claims global presence and operations in over 70 languages, promotes online betting across multiple sports and events.

The ED suspects that the betting network has links to money laundering activities and has widened its probe to cover prominent celebrities who were associated with its promotions.
