What Triggered the Attack?
The Scorpio occupants lost their temper when security guards asked them to register their entry details at the complex gate. In a fit of rage, the driver not only hurled abuses but also brandished a country-made pistol before plowing into the guards.
One Arrested, Two Still Absconding
After the assailants fled the scene, the police launched an intensive manhunt. Using technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, they arrested 28-year-old Kaustubh Bhoigade from Dahisar on Wednesday. Bhoigade reportedly does odd jobs for a living.
The other two accused, Kashish Gupta and Akshit Gupta, remain absconding. The police have booked all three under attempt to murder charges and the Arms Act.
