Major Accident as Truck Overturns Near Kasara Ghat on Mumbai-Nashik Highway
Thane: In a tragic incident on 13th July, Sunday, 15 people were injured when a truck overturned after colliding with multiple cars near Kasara Ghat on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. A video circulating online shows significant damage to six to seven cars positioned in the middle of the road. Reports suggest that tourists had parked their cars on the highway to view a nearby waterfall, which led to the collision.
The video also captures the aftermath of the accident, revealing the overturned truck. The truck, reportedly speeding, lost control and rammed into the parked vehicles, causing the crash. All injured individuals have been transported to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical attention. Fortunately, there have been no reported fatalities.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution during the monsoon season, as heavy rains have made the roads slippery and reduced visibility. Maharashtra, including Mumbai, has been experiencing substantial rainfall in recent days.
Tourists are drawn to waterfalls that become more prominent during the monsoon, but they should avoid parking on highways and stay clear of the water flow, which can surge unexpectedly.
