A group of 15 members from the Pune Adventurers successfully completed the challenging ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, standing at a towering height of 5,895 meters (19,336 ft). The team, primarily residents of Wanowrie, NIBM Road, Salunke Vihar Road, Lulla Nagar, and Camp, faced severe cold, high-altitude challenges, loss of appetite, low oxygen levels, and daily treks lasting 6 to 9 hours.

The summit attempt began at midnight on August 12, with all members reaching the peak by 6:30 a.m. Despite wearing 5 to 6 layers of clothing, the freezing conditions caused the water in their camelback bladders to freeze, leaving them with limited water in their flasks. The trek on the summit day lasted for 18 hours, during which they ascended 1,200 meters (3,936 ft) and descended 2,795 meters (9,168 ft) to reach Mweka Camp by 6 p.m.

On the fourth day, the team successfully climbed the renowned Barranco Wall. The members of the team included Mustafa Battiwala (captain), Talib Godhrawala, Huzefa Hakimi, Monir Khambati, Dr. Qaedjohar Dhariwala, Murtuza Choonawala, Dr. Siddhi Dube, Umaima Palitanawala, Lubaina Dohadwala, Amatullah Engineer, Arwa Kagalwala, Hatim Raja, Azhar Tambuwala, Yushai Canteenwala, and Aliasgar Hakimi.
