Pimpri Chinchwad Police has seen a massive transformation in the last couple of months since IPS Krishna Prakash has taken charge of Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Police. Pimpri Chinchwad Police has again set an example by imposing fine against 106 bullet bike owners, in the last 25 days, collecting a total of 9, 21, 800 rupees from the violators.
The decision to impose fine against the violators came after the recent meeting of the commissioner with Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation. The drive against the irregular and noisy bullet silencer was initiated on 18th October, 2020. The meeting attendees had also complained on the fancy number plates installed on the bikes.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Police has also made it clear that without permission from RTO, the bike owners are not allowed to make changes to silencer or the bike.
While talking to Pune Pulse, ACP Shrikant Disale said, “The silencers are noisy and irritating, and this has even agitated the citizens during night. The silencer even gives rise to the pollution; and thus, we have been carrying this drive against such bike owners.”
