Pune: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Pimpri-Chinchwad when a 3.5-year-old girl was killed by a falling iron gate. The tragic event took place in Bopkhel on Wednesday afternoon while children were playing.
The incident, captured on CCTV, shows the distressing moment. Following the incident, there has been an outpouring of grief in Ganesh Nagar. The young victim has been identified as Girija Ganesh Shinde.

On July 31st, Wednesday afternoon, four children were playing in Ganesh Nagar. Two children entered the area behind the iron gate, while Girija and another companion stood in front. At this moment, another child attempted to pull the gate, causing the heavy gate, weighing hundreds of kilograms, to fall on Girija. She was critically injured and, according to doctors, died before receiving treatment.
This incident has devastated the Shinde family. Police have reported that the gate was known to be faulty by both the neighbors and the building owner.
