Pune, August 5: District Election Officer Dr. Suhas Diwase has urged voters to submit their applications for voter registration to polling station officials or complete them online by August 20, as part of the special brief revision program for voter lists. The Election Commission of India has set a revised schedule for the special brief revision program based on the eligibility date of July 1, 2024. According to this schedule, the draft voter list will be published on August 6, 2024. Voters will be able to file claims and objections for voter registration, name and address changes, and other details until August 20.

Applications for voter registration can be filled online using Form 6 for new registrations, Form 7 for objections to names already in the list, and Form 8 for address changes and corrections. SMS notifications are being sent to relevant individuals regarding these forms. Upon receiving the SMS, individuals should promptly visit the respective polling station officials with the required information and documents.

Dr. Diwase also appealed to citizens to participate in the voter registration drive and cooperate with the election administration.
