A shocking scandal has emerged involving a PSI from Pune City Police, Kashinath Maruti Ubhe, accused of orchestrating a honeytrap racket. Ubhe, aged 55, allegedly manipulated female members in his team to ensnare unsuspecting elderly citizens. This revelation surfaced after complaints were filed at the Vishrambaug Police Station, leading to the arrest of three women on August 1st.

According to a senior citizen’s complaint, Vishrambaug Police had earlier registered cases against three women and a man. The complainant, a retired employee of a private company, was lured into a trap under false pretenses, then threatened with physical harm unless coerced into paying ₹5 million to a doctor in Shahupuri Police Station, Kolhapur. The victims were allegedly robbed of ₹20,000 in cash and coerced into withdrawing ₹60,000 from an ATM.

However, when the victims reported the incident to Vishrambaug Police, they were met with reluctance from Ubhe, who has since gone missing. Despite being a police officer himself, Ubhe faces serious allegations of abuse of power and extortion under the guise of law enforcement. The Vishrambaug Police have confirmed filing a case in this regard.
