Pune Metro invites bids to launch pay-and-park facility at 8 metro stations

Get ready for paid parking at eight metro stations as Pune Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Pune Metro) has called for bids to launch this service at eight stations along Metro Line 2.
Officials mentioned that the service kicked off at Anand Nagar metro station about a month ago.
In the near future, pay-and-park options will be accessible at Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) station, Sant Tukaramnagar, Phugewadi, Bopodi, Shivajinagar, Civil Court on Pune Metro Line-1; and Ideal Colony and Mangalwar Peth/RTO.
For two-wheeler riders, the parking fee is ₹8 for an hour and ₹12 for two hours, with an additional ₹5 for storing their helmets in the designated area.
Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations Department mentioned, “We have parking available at 15 stations, and pay-and-park services are now planned in eight of them. The service is operating smoothly at Anand Nagar metro station, and we haven’t received any complaints so far.”
All parking areas are well-equipped with amenities such as boom barriers, concrete flooring, lighting, and CCTV cameras. Additional features like app-based parking booking and display boards showing parking availability have also been included. The charges already include GST.
Furthermore, passengers with a valid metro ticket dated the same day will enjoy a 25% discount on parking fees. Monthly subscription passes are up for grabs for travelers with metro travel passes.

- – 3-6 hours: ₹23
- – 7-24 hours: ₹45
- – Overnight: ₹45
- – Monthly pass: ₹1,250
