Shravansari And Manglagauri Festival Sparks Enthusiasm Among Women In Bhosari
Pimpri – August 9, 2024
The “Manglagauri” festival is a symbol of joy and celebration for women. In the modern era, preserving the traditional culture and festivals of Maharashtra in urban areas can be challenging. However, when women are provided with a dedicated platform, the response is overwhelmingly positive. This has been evident in the “Shravansari and Manglagauri” festival held in the Bhosari Assembly constituency.
The event, organized under the leadership of Pooja Landge, Chairperson of Shivanjali Sakhi Manch, is a continuation of the initiative started by Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge. The event aims to empower women and promote entrepreneurship, similar to the grand “Indrayani Thadi” held in Maharashtra.

Pooja Landge emphasized that the “Shravansari and Manglagauri” festival is exclusively for women. She mentioned that every year, various programs are organized during the month of Shravan and the Manglagauri festival. This year, renowned hosts Akash Falle and Ramesh Parlikar have added to the vibrancy of the events. Each woman participating in the festival receives a gift.
Notably, the festival is being celebrated at 25 different locations across the Bhosari Assembly constituency, including Bhosari, Dudulgaon, Moshi, Dighi, Talwade, Charholi, Vadmukhwadi, Chikhali, Indrayaninagar, Santnagar, Purnanagar, Sharadnagar, Spine Road, Nehrunagar, Masulkar Colony, Dehu-Alandi Road, Hutatma Chowk, Jadhavwadi, and Chikhali.
Prizes are being awarded to the winners at these events, with the first prize being a refrigerator, the second prize an LED TV, the third prize a flour mill, the fourth prize a microwave oven, and the fifth prize a mixer. Women from various localities are showing great enthusiasm in participating in these events.
MLA Mahesh Landge expressed his satisfaction with the event’s success, stating, “In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it’s important for women to have some ‘ME TIME’ and a platform to showcase their talents. The Manglagauri festival allows them to celebrate with enthusiasm. The concept of ‘Sann Mahilanch…Khel Anandach, Maharashtrachya Sanskrutit’ (Festival for Women, Playful and Joyful, Celebrating Maharashtra’s Culture) has been well-received, and I am pleased with the positive response to the event organized by Shivanjali Sakhi Manch and its associates.”
