The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has urged citizens to participate in its “Citizens’ Participatory Budget” initiative, emphasizing the importance of public involvement in various city projects, schemes, and programs. Residents are encouraged to submit their feedback online through this initiative. Additionally, as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign from August 13 to August 15, citizens are asked to hoist the national flag at their homes.

The Municipal Corporation holds public engagement meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. During today’s meeting at various regional offices, a total of 78 complaints and suggestions were recorded from different areas: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H, with 19, 14, 3, 14, 1, 7, 12, and 8 complaints respectively.

Residents raised various issues, including the need for CCTV installation, filling potholes caused by the rains, waste management, preventing pollution in the Mula-Pavana river, taking action against litterbugs, unauthorized parking, and regulation of hoardings.

The “Citizens’ Feedback” initiative aims to assist the Municipal Corporation in improving roads, sewage systems, health services, parks, sports facilities, and public amenities. Previously, this initiative required residents to visit municipal offices in person, which was inconvenient. To address this, starting from the 2024 fiscal year, citizens are encouraged to provide feedback via the Smart Sarathi app and the Municipal Corporation’s official website to streamline the process and reduce inconvenience.
