Punya Nagari Banga Samaj (PNBS) began its 28th year of Durga Puja celebrations on 2nd October 2024, with a vibrant Mohalaya event, marking the end of Pitrupaksha and the welcoming of Goddess Durga. The celebration took place at Bharat Sawant Palm Udyan, Vishrantwadi, where more than 50 members participated in dance, singing, and recitation performances.

The early morning event was held in an open theatre surrounded by palm trees, with ladies dressed in traditional laal-paar sarees (red and white), bringing the spirit of Kolkata’s culture to Pune.

PNBS will continue the Durga Puja festivities from 8 October to 13 October 2024 at Tirupati Garden Mangal Karyalay, Lane No. 2, Tingrenagar, Pune, said Sandeep Bhattacharjee, Vice President, PNBS
